DRIVE-IN CINEMA
An
exciting new era for
Melbourne’s
inner-city film
lovers, with the
introduction of
Jefferson Ford’s
Sunset Drive-In,
combining drive-in
and open-air cinema,
is situated on the
rooftop car park of
the iconic South
Melbourne Market,
Sunset Drive-In will
operate every
Thursday, Friday,
Saturday and Sunday
night with two
seasons, concluding
May 2nd.
From 7.00pm, when
the Sunset Drive-in
doors open, guests
may enter either in
their cars, or on
foot if they prefer
to utilize the
open-air seating
(deck chairs
provided*). At
sundown each night
(approximately
8.30pm), the main
feature will
commence on an
inflatable screen,
projected from high
grade commercial
digital equipment
running directly
from a High
Definition media
server of Blu
Ray/DVD, with audio
transmitted through
a nominated FM
frequency.
South Melbourne
Market is renowned
for its diverse
range of culinary
delights, and Sunset
Drive-In patrons
will have the
opportunity to
sample the fare of
selected food and
beverage vendors at
their rooftop
stalls.
* Seating for
open-air viewing is
limited, and the
deck chairs are
available on a first
in, best dressed
basis. Guests may
bring their own
blankets, deck
chairs or bean bags. |

Films Subject To Change without notice. Sunset Cinema is an
all weather event
and endeavour to broadcast advertised
programs unless weather conditions are
considered dangerous.
If a session is cancelled in the event of dangerous weather
all tickets for that session will be transferable to another
session
within the same screening season.
